At Bundaberg West State School we encourage a love of reading and look forward to seeing the children using the resources of the library on a regular basis.

Our school library is open before school each morning from 8.25am to 8.45am for returning and borrowing books. The Library is also open at each morning tea and lunch time for quiet activities, games and returning and borrowing books.
Each class also has a library time each week with their teacher.
Our Library also coordinates the Scholastic Book Club throughout the year. The rough timetable for Book Club is as follows:
Term 1 - Book Club - second half of the term.
Term 2 - Book Fair - mid term.
Term 3 - Book Club - Second half of the term.
Term 4 - Book Club - First half of the term.
Each month our library endeavours to buy a selection of new books for our classes to enjoy. We display these books on the ‘Coming Soon’ shelf for a short while so the children can see the new titles that are hitting the shelves soon.
